    The Brierdene - nestled between
Whitley Bay and St Mary's Lighthouse

Managed by volunteers. Enjoyed by everyone.

The Friends of  Brierdene started their conservation work in October 2006. Our long-term aim is to restore and improve the dene, with the advice and support of North Tyneside Council.

Our volunteers work hard to maintain and manage the beauty of the Brierdene and received the Queens Award for Voluntary Service in 2020.

Volunteers meet every Wednesday and Saturday mornings from 10am-12pm.
